Well the season is officially underway. The store has been hopping and keeping Patti and I pretty busy. Over the past few weeks, and for the next several we have new products coming on almost daily. There will be a lot of new product introductions at the Bassmaster Classic and we will have many of them available in the store that week (February 21-24).
This is my first post in this new category. The goal here is to keep everyone informed on what’s going on at the store, maybe give some reports on the lakes we hear are hot, and let folks know what’s been selling in the store and catching fish.
The power plant lakes have all been turning out good catches over the past few weeks. The continuing cold weather has made fishing tough on anything but a power plant lake. Crankbaits, and soft plastics have been the baits of choice. Color selection has been across the board, but any version of green pumpkin seems to be working the best.
Squaw Creek and Monticello have been giving up the best catches lately. Winning weights on Squaw have been in the +20 pound range.
Lastly, don’t be afraid to throw an A-Rig on the cold water lakes. There have been some folks catching some nice fish this way recently.
We have been getting in a lot of new products in the past week. Here’s a rundown of what I can remember.
Kopper’s Baitball Cranks and Topwater
Keitech Sexy Impact
Santone Swimbait heads
Gamakatsu New Shakey Head Jigs
Spro Bronzeye Shad
D&M Custom Baits ( Many new products)
We received another shipment of the new Ardent reels we sold out of over Christmas
Another shipment of Powell Inferno rods has arrived
We are now carrying Yak Gear and Railblaza products
All these items and more can be seen in our store or online. http://anglersprotackle.com
That’s it for this week. Patti is yelling telling me to come help customers. I’m going to try to update this every week, so check in to see all that’s going on at Angler’s Pro Tackle & Outdoors.
